Questions and answers about the purchasing process of dinner services, individual pieces and artistic pieces manufactured by La Cartuja de Sevilla.
 

Who pays the transport cost of the products purchased by hotels, restaurants and catering companies?



La Cartuja de Sevilla assumes the transport costs for orders sent to Mainland Spain and the Balearics whose value is 600 € or above (net amount, before taxes). If the value is under 600 €, La Cartuja de Sevilla applies a charge of 15 € plus VAT for transport costs.

For deliveries to the Canaries, Ceuta, and Melilla, La Cartuja de Sevilla will assume transport costs if the value of the items is in excess of 900 € br />

Is there a minimum order for clients operating in the catering industry?



No. We will provide any quantity required.


Are consignments sent to restaurants insured?



Yes. La Cartuja de Sevilla will resolve any incidence - damage or loss - which may occur during transportation. The Establishment is given 48 hours to check the product thoroughly and notify us of any damaged pieces..


Are the La Caruja de Sevilla ceramic pieces dishwater safe?



Yes. The fact that the ceramic pieces are fired at extremely high temperatures during the manufacturing process together with the indelibility of the colours makes them completely dishwasher safe. However, pieces with gold banding (which are no longer manufactured) should not be washed in dishwashers.


Can I use La Cartuja de Sevilla dinner services in the microwave?



Yes. The special characteristics of the La Cartuja de Sevilla ceramic pieces make them completely microwave safe. However, pieces with gold banding (which are no longer manufactured) should not be used in microwave ovens.


Are the colours indelible?



Yes. The firing process applied to all the fine ceramic pieces produced by La Cartuja de Sevilla fixes the colours rendering them indelible, thereby guaranteeing their quality over time.


Are the Pickman - La Cartuja de Sevilla factory and museum open to the public?



Yes. Both the La Cartuja de Sevilla factory and the Pickman Museum (a Site of Cultural Interest), can be visited either by individuals or groups to learn about the history of the company and the manufacturing process of the prestigious tableware or to look at the collection of historical pieces with their great artistic value.
