202 Rosa
Used in Aurora shaped pieces, the most classical decorative style produced by La Cartuja de Sevilla is a faithful reproduction of the original engraved copper plates brought from England in 1841.

The pink colour and the number 202 used to classify these plates gave their name to this type of decoration which combines the pure English decorative style with a marked oriental influence whilst maintaining the flavour of classic ceramics.

Aurora Blanca
The Aurora shape, created in 1841, has remained unchanged in the most well known Cartuja de Sevilla designs until the present day.

Designed with irregular curved edges, its shape is reminiscent of that of a sunflower.

Bellavista
The Aurora shape, decorated with colourful designs which are reminiscent of the arrival of spring, is used for the least formal of the dinner services produced by La Cartuja de Sevilla.

Ceilán
The Aurora shape features a classical print in oriental style, which reproduces the traditions of the Asian island that gave the piece its name.

Animals depicted in a variety of hunting scenes are the central theme of the Ceylon decorative style.
The central parts are framed by a perfectly composed border featuring a combination of floral elements and mouldings whose central motif is the thorny rose of Asia.

Flor de Lis
Decorative style designed by Juan Maeso in 1892 used in Aurora - shaped pieces which feature geometrical borders and patterns kept in the Pickman Museum - declared a Site of Cultural Interest".

The radial design, with its French influence, depicts the fleur the lis, which is perfectly combined with the whiteness of the china in the middle part of the piece and the elegant composition of the border pattern.

Viejo Molino
An English style decoration designed for the Aurora shape which depicts a classical rural scene framed by a border profusely decorated with a mixture of vegetation and rocks. .

With its perfect colouring using a wide range of earthy shades the setting shows an old flour mill with its flavour of times gone by.
